CODE OF CONDUCT

ACTRIMS is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment at MSToronto2026. All participants—including attendees, speakers, volunteers, industry partners, staff, and service providers—are expected to follow the MSToronto2026 Code of Conduct at all times.

Respectful dialogue, constructive exchange of ideas, and collegial behavior are essential to maintaining a professional meeting environment.

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and includes:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind, including conduct related to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, age, professional background, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Hateful, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or violent language.
  • Inappropriate display of nudity or sexual images.
  • Unwelcome or unsolicited physical or verbal attention.
  • Real or implied threats of physical or professional harm.
  • Harassing or non-consensual photography, recording, or filming.
  • Disruption of presentations, sessions, exhibits, or other meeting activities.
  • Distribution of promotional materials, special offers, job postings, product announcements, or service solicitations in educational or presentation spaces.
  • Unauthorized copying or recording of presentations. All scientific content remains the intellectual property of the author(s). Permission is required for reuse.

ACTRIMS reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations of this policy. This may include immediate removal from MSToronto2026 without warning or refund, and restrictions on participation in future meetings.

If you experience or witness harassment or other unacceptable behavior, notify ACTRIMS Staff or a member of the ACTRIMS Board of Directors immediately.

ACTRIMS Staff can assist with contacting venue security or local law enforcement and will support anyone who feels unsafe to ensure their well-being throughout the meeting.
