SATELLITE SYMPOSIA
Application opens November 20, 2025
The MSToronto2026 Sponsorship Prospectus will be announced November 20, 2025, and will include the Industry Supported Satellite Symposium/Non-CE Presentation Application.
Industry Supported Satellite Symposia programs offering certified continuing education (CE) credits are preferred; however, certification is not required to host Industry Supported Non-CE Presentations. Accreditation is the supporter’s responsibility. Due to limited slot availability, CE accrediting organizations must have written confirmation of funding from an Industry Supporter at the time of application submission.
Each organization may apply to host as many Industry Supported Satellite Symposia or Non-CE Presentations as they wish according to availability. Applications will be accepted and assigned at the discretion of the Scientific Program Committee.
Slot assignments will be based primarily on CE accreditation and total contribution from the educational grant supporter. Applicants will be required to rank their preferred time slot and provide an attendance estimate. This information, as well as adherence to the ACCME’s requirement of a 30-minute break between the conclusion of CE accredited programming and non-CE presentations in the same lecture room, will be secondary slot assignment considerations. Applications received by Thursday, January 29, 2026, will be prioritized. Any additional slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the discretion of the Scientific Program Committee. All assignments are final.
The Scientific Program Committee and the MSToronto2026 accredited CE provider adhere to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. In accordance with the ACCME, Industry Supported Non-CE Presentations that include employees of commercial interests may not be certified for CE credit.
To support accrediting organizations with having adequate time to prepare funding applications and receive preference during the application review process, preliminary answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), guidelines, and policies are included below.
